About
Bio short:
Arc Iris has garnered much attention and acclaim since the release of their 2014 self-titled debut album on ANTI Records (US / World) and Bella Union (EU). They have toured with St. Vincent, Jeff Tweedy, the Gipsy Kings, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and FREEMAN (Gene Ween), and performed at major festivals such as Bonnaroo (US), Mountain Jam (US), and End of the Road (UK), among others.
Based in Providence, Rhode Island, Arc Iris is a mix of everything you love and hate, culminating in something breathtaking and indescribable. Jocie Adams, Robin Ryczek, Zach Tenorio Miller and Ray Belli will take you on a magic carpet ride through deserts, lush flower gardens, and rainforest before sending you right back to your living room with ethereal and deliciously dynamic rock music.
Arc Iris is their own genre. Don't miss them.
The band has just released 2 songs on vinyl and peanut-shaped USB, available for purchase at their live shows only.
Boston Globe:
Arc Iris is “informed as much by Joni Mitchell as it is by ’70s prog-rock, Björk’s sonic experiments, and sweeping film soundtracks. It’s hypnotic.” "It’s named after an elegant term for a rainbow, and the multifaceted unity of that phenomenon seems a good signifier for what you hear on the band’s self-titled debut: delicate folk ... Nilsson-inspired chanteusery, classical-infused orchestrations, swatches of soulful country, and more."
