About
Founded in 2025, the Astra Collective is a New York City-based chamber ensemble co-founded by double bassist Billy Popfinger and flutist Jessica Ringston. The group centers an unusual lineup (flute, violin, viola, double bass), commissions new works, and premiered Leah Jane’s moon, earth, and back at the Mercury Lounge; they have also performed at The Frick Collection and for Fifth Avenue Blooms.
