About
Ever since her cover of Rihanna’s ‘Work’ became a viral phenomenon in Spain a year ago, Bad Gyal’s career has been leaving a flashing trail behind. The Hispanic scene worldwide has turned its eyes and ears ever since. A spree of utterly fantastic hits followed, starting with ‘Indapanden’ -sitting today on more than 3 million views on YouTube- and her first mixtape ‘Slow Wine' released by label/filming Co. CANADA earned her a place as the first modern dancehall artist in Spain. All this before turning 20 years old.
During 2017 Bad Gyal maxed-out every major venue in Spain, repeatedly, and performed for renowned festivals Sonar and FIB. She debuted in England, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala and the US twice, performing on both occasions for Red Bull's Music Academy. More tracks came, collaborations with Dubbel Dutch -top Popcaan producer- with whom she conceived her biggest hit yet 'Jacaranda' and other top names like Jam City's Jack Latham and former N.A.A.F.I Paul Marmota.
Her music's been recognized by Murlo, Dinamarca, Soulection and the Mad Decent crew and featured on Pitchfork, i-D, FACT and Line of Best Fit.
New mixtape in feb 2018.
