Bill Taft is an Atlanta-based musician and songwriter who has played in and led numerous local groups since the 1980s, including The Jody Grind, Smoke, Hubcap City, and the Opal Foxx Quartet. He founded the spoken-word series An Evening with the Garbageman, has collaborated with peers such as Kelly Hogan and Vic Chesnutt, and formed W8ing4UFOs, which released an album in 2020.
