Christopher Tignor is an American composer, electro-acoustic violinist and software designer who founded the chamber ensemble Slow Six and the duo Wires Under Tension. He has released multiple solo albums and records on Western Vinyl, arranged strings for artists such as This Will Destroy You, and received commissions (including a Barlow Endowment commission) with performances at venues like Carnegie’s Zankel Hall and the MATA festival. Trained at Bard (BA), NYU (MS in Computer Science) and Princeton (PhD in Music Composition, 2018), he also develops the live-performance software he uses and has worked as a software engineer at Google.
