About
Formed in 2011, Desert Sharks have released the LP Baby's Gold Death Stadium (2019), the EP The Tower (2023), and a split EP released in March 2024 on Substitute Scene Records. The core lineup includes Stephanie Gunther (bass/vocals), Sunny Veniero (guitar) and Rebecca Fruchter (drums); the band has official videos for "Siren Song" and "Deeper" and has played notable NYC stages such as Arlene's Grocery and The Sultan Room. Baby's Gold Death Stadium was recorded live to tape in a basement studio and the group continues to tour and appear on DIY festival bills.
