Formed in the early 2020s by Rose Brown, Cole Billings and Zach Cunningham, Flooding released a self-titled debut in August 2021 and signed with Manor Records later that year. They issued Silhouette Machine in 2023, toured regionally and internationally, and released the object 1 EP in July 2025 with singles and a music video. The band has been profiled by outlets such as Treble and The Pitch and has toured with acts including Cryogeyser, Slow Crush and Teethe.
