A New York–based pianist and bandleader who studied at Humber College and the New School, McCarron was resident pianist at the Harvard Club from 1991–2017 and earned major competition recognition (semifinalist, Thelonious Monk Competition, 1993; winner, Great American Jazz Piano Competition, 1995). Her albums Jazz Motif (2021) and Gin (2024) received strong critical praise and Gin reached #11 on the JazzWeek chart; she has appeared twice on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz and frequently performs at leading NYC jazz venues.
