Where did the singer go who sounds even better in person than on recordings? The artist who personifies “cool”, whose vocals embellishes “smooth” and who can connect “intimately” with any audience? Just about when you are about to give up looking…you find Joe Jordan. Joe has been a fixture in the Milwaukee, greater Wisconsin and surround Midwest cities for the since he first took to the stage as a high school senior with his band for a local talent contest. His first two solo projects; “Can You Find Your Soul” and “Let’s Go To That Place” earned Joe Jordan three Wisconsin Area Music Award (WAMA) nominations including “Best R&B/Soul Artist”. Joe Jordan’s recent performances include Tribute Concerts to Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway & Teddy Pendergrass. Joe has also done backup vocals for American Idol vocalist Danny Gokey and has also opening for artist such as Anthony Hamilton, David Sanborn, Angie Stone, Elvis Costello and Tower of Power. I have been blessed and am so grateful for the many musicians that I have had the honor and privilege to play with over the past twenty years. There are too many to name, but they know who they are and how much I appreciate their friendship and support. I have learned so much from each of them and I hope I have returned the favor. Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Frankie Beverly, Will Downing, Prince and so many others further inspired me to listen, learn and love the R&B, Soul and Jazz sound. I hope to proudly continue to carry forward the torch that burns brightly on the beauty, passion and power of our genre of music. And to the many Fans and Friends I have met over the years who have supported me as a solo artist, a member of Soul Trio, a lead singer for Streetlife and the numerous projects I have joined, I thank you so very much.
