John Joseph McGowan (born October 3, 1962) is an American musician and author best known as the lead vocalist of the Cro-Mags and frontman of Bloodclot. He has published memoirs including The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon and Meat Is for Pussies and appears in hardcore documentaries such as N.Y.H.C. and American Hardcore. Joseph is also a plant-based diet advocate, triathlete, author, and runs a coaching/motivational platform.
