About
Led by vocalist Josimar Fidel, Josimar y su Yambú was formed in 2011 and debuted at Discoteca Boom in San Juan de Lurigancho. The orchestra has released multiple EPs and albums since 2017, scored national hits (including “Porque un hombre no llora”), toured internationally, and performed on major televised events. They have received national awards and notable invitations such as composing a song linked to Peru’s 2018 World Cup campaign and participating in TV talent shows.
