Born September 4, 1961, Kenny Davis is an American bassist who moved to New York in 1986 and has worked extensively as a sideman and bandleader. He was a member of Out of the Blue, played on and arranged tracks for notable recordings (including Cassandra Wilson’s Blue Light 'til Dawn), served as bassist for The Tonight Show Band (1999–2002), and is a lecturer in bass and jazz history at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts.
