About
Kommuna Lux is an Odesa-based ensemble (formed in the 2010s) that reinterprets Ukrainian, klezmer and Balkan repertoire into a theatrical, high-energy stage show. The group has toured Europe and the United States, appeared on international festival programs (including WOMEX listings) and has used performances to raise funds and deliver humanitarian support for Ukraine since 2022. The current lineup features bandleader/clarinetist Volodymyr Gitin and trumpeter Serhii Zhuravel among others.
