La Bouche is a German-American vocal duo formed in 1994 and originally fronted by Melanie Thornton and Lane McCray. Their 1995 hit "Be My Lover" and album Sweet Dreams brought international chart success, earned awards (including an Echo and ASCAP recognition) and helped the act sell millions of records. After Thornton's death in 2001, Lane McCray has continued performing and touring under the La Bouche name with rotating female vocalists.
