Laura Elkeslassy is a Brooklyn-based singer, actor, and educator who created the multimedia album Ya Ghorbati: Divas in Exile, a project rooted in archival research into her family history. She has performed at venues and festivals including La MaMa and the Dalâla festival, teaches workshops at institutions such as the Yale Institute for Sacred Music, and co-founded L'Atelier Théâtre NY. Elkeslassy holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University.
