Michael Kanan relocated to New York in 1991 to study with Sal Mosca and established himself on the NYC jazz scene. He toured and recorded with 'Little' Jimmy Scott, has served as a musical director/accompanist, and leads his own trio with releases on Fresh Sound New Talent.
