Nasheet Waits (born June 15, 1971) is a drummer and composer and the son of percussionist Freddie Waits. He has led and co-led several ensembles and released albums as a leader (for example Equality and Between Nothingness and Infinity) while appearing on well over a hundred recordings as a sideman. In 2020 he joined the New England Conservatory faculty and remains active as a performer, recording artist, and educator.
