Formed in 1979 by Scott "Wino" Weinrich, the band became a formative act in the U.S. doom scene and recorded several demos before an initial breakup in the mid-1980s. They released studio albums including The Obsessed (1990), Lunar Womb (1991) and The Church Within (1994), reunited in the 2010s and have since issued Sacred (2017) and Gilded Sorrow (2024).
