Paula Cole is an American singer-songwriter whose second album, This Fire (released October 15, 1996), brought her mainstream success with the singles "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" and "I Don't Want to Wait" (the latter used as the theme for Dawson's Creek). This Fire earned seven Grammy nominations and Cole won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best New Artist; she was also the first woman ever nominated solo for Producer of the Year.
