Formed in 2021, PeelingFlesh released multiple EPs and compilations before issuing their first full-length, The G Code, in 2024 after signing to Unique Leader Records. The band supported major tours (including the 2024 "Death and Decay" run with Whitechapel and Revocation), played festivals such as Sonic Temple, and were announced for Louder Than Life 2026. In early 2026 they announced a lineup change with bassist Austin Hirom replaced by Chip Smith.
