Philip Harper (born May 10, 1965) is an American jazz trumpeter who performed with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and the Mingus Big Band. He co-led The Harper Brothers with his brother Winard Harper and recorded multiple albums for Verve and Muse, including leader dates Soulful Sin and The Thirteenth Moon. Harper has appeared on over 50 recordings as a leader and sideman and continues to perform actively.
