Phoebe Judge is the host of Criminal and a host at WUNC North Carolina Public Radio. She was a producer and on-air contributor for The Story with Dick Gordon, and before that she reported from the gulf coast of Mississippi. She covered the BP oil spill and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina for Mississippi Public Broadcasting and National Public Radio. Phoebe’s work has won multiple Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards. She attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
Criminal is a podcast about crime.
Stories of people who’ve done wrong, been wronged, or gotten caught somewhere in the middle. The show’s producers are full-time radio people, but Criminal is what we do when we go home at night. Created by Phoebe Judge, Eric Mennel and Lauren Spohrer, we released our first episode in January 2014. For the first year, we funded the show ourselves, calling in favors and receiving donations from friends. In January 2015, we joined Radiotopia.
