Rico Jones is a tenor saxophonist, composer, and bandleader whose debut album BloodLines (Giant Step Arts) was recorded live and released in 2025 to wide acclaim, earning a four-star review from DownBeat. He has performed as a featured guest with Esperanza Spalding at the Blue Note and has received honors including the Vandoren Emerging Artist Award and multiple DownBeat student awards. Jones holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and has collaborated with numerous notable jazz artists.
