SIM is the performance name of Montreal producer Simon?Luc Laporte who coined the "Slow Tech" concept. He has released music on labels including Nervous Horizon and SPE:C, with notable releases such as Terminate (EP, 2021), Sulum (SPE:C, 2023) and Wampa!/3rd Space (SIM0005, 2026). He is also active in academic media-arts research and has performed at festivals including MUTEK.
