About
Slow Fiction formed in New York City (members Julia Vassallo, Joseph Skimmons, Paul Knepple, Ryan Duffin, and Akiva Henig) after early meetings in the East Village and initial demos recorded in May 2021. The band released their debut double-single "The Cut / Niagara" in February 2022 and a self-titled release in February 2023, followed by several singles and an EP through outlets including Paper Moon Records and Bandcamp. They have played across NYC and were featured in outlets and playlists that spotlight emerging indie acts.
