SMUSH was formed by Emily Borrowman (bass/vocals) and Atley King (guitar), later joined by drummer Jay Christie. Their debut album If You Were Here I'd Be Home Now was released June 15, 2024 and they followed with the Standards EP in February 2026, attracting attention from indie outlets and streaming playlists. The project has supported releases with regional touring and festival appearances.
