Sunn O))) (pronounced “sun”) is a drone metal band that have reimagined what metal could accomplish. Coming out of the west coast in the late 90’s Sunn O))) became known for creating an almost tangible atmosphere with low tuned guitars and feedback, and their live performances have given them notoriety as one of the loudest bands around. In 2009, the album Monoliths & Dimensions was well received even by traditional music outlets. Their latest album Kannon was highly anticipated and was released in the latter part of 2015.
