Richard Alan "Tardo" Hammer (born February 26, 1958) is an American pianist active on the New York jazz scene since the late 1970s. He has recorded as a leader for labels including Sharp Nine and Cellar Live, served for many years as pianist and musical director for vocalist Annie Ross, and appeared on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz. Hammer is also active as an educator on the faculty of institutions such as the Lucy Moses School and The New School.
