Edward Theodore "Teddy" Riley is an American record producer and songwriter credited with creating the new jack swing sound and reshaping contemporary R&B production. He led the groups Guy and Blackstreet, produced numerous hit records in the late 1980s–1990s, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August 2019, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023.
