Formed in 1984, TKA signed to Tommy Boy Records and released the album Scars of Love (1987), which produced several dance-club singles such as "One Way Love" and "Come Get My Love." Members pursued solo projects (notably K7) before the group reunited in 2001; TKA continues to release music and perform in freestyle-themed events.
