Tom Christensen is a New York–based saxophonist and multi?woodwind specialist who has released leader albums including Gualala (2000), Paths (2002) and New York School (2005). He has performed and recorded with large ensembles and notable bandleaders (Maria Schneider Orchestra, John Hollenbeck Large Ensemble), appears on multiple Grammy?nominated projects, co?leads the quartet Spin Cycle, co?founded Sound Footing Records, and has received a Chamber Music America composition grant.
