About
Eladio Antonio "Tony" Vega Ayala (born July 13, 1957) began his career as a percussionist before becoming a lead singer with groups such as La Selecta and Willie Rosario's orchestra. He launched a solo career in 1988, earning gold and platinum records (notably for Uno Mismo) and has performed internationally, including at Madison Square Garden and on Tito Puente's recording projects. Since the 1990s he has balanced music with pastoral work after becoming a born-again Christian.
