Formed in 1978 by ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson and ex-Rainbow bassist Jimmy Bain, Wild Horses released two studio albums (Wild Horses, 1980; Stand Your Ground, 1981) and played major UK and Japanese dates including Reading and Nakano Sun Plaza. The band dissolved in 1981 with members moving on to acts such as Motörhead, Dio and UFO. Their catalogue has seen multiple reissues, including a 2026 Cherry Red 6CD box set collecting their complete recordings.
