Formed in 2019, Yard Act released their debut album The Overload on 21 January 2022, which debuted at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. They were shortlisted for the 2022 Mercury Prize and released their second album Where's My Utopia? on 1 March 2024. The band issued a re-recorded version of "100% Endurance" featuring Elton John on 1 July 2022.
