Grammy nominated producer and trumpeter Carlos Abadie, hails from Miami, Florida where his first professional musical endeavors were with Melton Mustafa and the great Ira Sullivan. Mr. Abadie decided to move to New York City in 1993 and quickly became entrenched in the New York music scene starting out with Jason Linder's Big Band.. Now over 20 years later Mr. Abadie has had the distinct honor of playing with Junior Mance, Louis Hayes, Illinois Jacquet, Ocean Pope, Jimmy Heath, Clark Terry, Ray Santos and his Orchestra, Bobby Sanabria, Manny Oquendo, Andy Gonzalez and many more..
Since 2007, Mr. Abadie has been leading his own Jazz quintet. And with his quintet he has played all of the major venues in New York and the tri-state area. Mr. Abadie started wearing the hat of producer in 2013 when he was asked by bassist and producer Andy Gonzalez for Mr. Gonzalez's album entitled Entre Colegas. Entre Colegas was nominated for a Grammy in 2016, Mr. Abadie was also a featured soloist on this album. Carlos Abadie is a constant musical presence and is revered by his colleagues on the New York jazz scene. Mr. Abadie continues to be a source inspiration to the musical community in NYCand to younger musicians just coming on to the scene.

Pianist Maki Nientao, a native New Yorker born in Harlem and raised in Washington Heights, has been surrounded by music from an early age, taking his first piano lessons with his grandfather. Known for his touch, sensitive accompaniment, and flexibility, his artistry is defined by both a deep respect for roots as well as a love for creativity and spontaneity.
Nientao is a rising star on the New York City jazz scene, performing regularly at venues like Smalls, Mezzrow, Ornithology, Dizzy’s Club, Cellar Dog, Jazz Forum, and others. Internationally, he has performed in the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, as well as at venues in London and Cape Town. He is a member of the Philip Harper Quintet, the Carlos Abadie Quintet, and ESSENCE, a trio with Jason Clotter and Willie Bowman. Maki has also performed with Winard Harper, Stacy Dillard, Johnny O’Neal, Rodney Green, and many more. Nientao works as a teaching artist with Jazz Power Initiative and as a DJ on WKCR.
Ahmed McLemore is a bassist whose approach is rooted in deep musicality and a firm respect for the jazz tradition. Hailed by bassist Gerald Cannon as a musician who “is constantly listening and always aiming to respect and expand the tradition”. Born in Detroit, Michigan, McLemore was immersed in music from an early age, singing in church and growing up in a musical household. He began classical upright bass studies at age eleven. Initially drawn to R&B as a producer and singer, he later discovered jazz, where he found a natural artistic home. McLemore earned his undergraduate degree in Jazz Performance from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at The Juilliard School. Viewing jazz as an oral tradition shaped by mentorship, listening, and community, McLemore approaches the music as a lifelong student, drawing inspiration from Oscar Pettiford, Paul Chambers, and the illustrious Israel Crosby while continually seeking ways to contribute to its ongoing evolution. He has performed across the United States and has shared the stage with artists including Steve Davis, Terell Stafford, Winard Harper, Tim Warfield, Carl Allen, Stefano Doglioni, Mark Whitfield, Leon “Foster” Thomas, Pasquale Grasso, Eric Reed, Etienne Charles, Eric Alexander, Ronnie Burrage, Jerome Jennings, Willerm Delisfort, and Stacy Dillard, among others.
Jrod is the youngest son of Keith and Nedella. He has two older brothers, Devin and Ryan. He is the God Son of Charles and Dorothy.
Jared and his family attend Northern M.B. Church, where Jared was baptized at the age of 5 years old. He attend Sunday School and participates in the the Youth Ministry along with the Junior Laymen Ministry.
At the age of 2, Jared's older brother started teaching him how to play the drums. Over the following years Jared continued to improve his drum skills and became more passionate to the percussion instrument in the church. Jared has been playing for the mass Choir, youth choir and periodically for the Adult choir.
Jared has graduate from Francis Howell High School. There he participated in Marching Band and Jazz Band. He will be attending William Paterson University in Wayne NewJersey this fall for Jazz performance and audio engineering. Jared has participated in different jazz programs and summer camps such as the JazzU Program at jazz St.Louis and Webster University's jazz camp .Thanks for visiting this site.
