About
Eastville Comedy Club is Brooklyn's oldest comedy club
Brooklyn Free Clinic is the only comprehensive, outpatient free clinic in Brooklyn that provides ongoing primary care to uninsured adults. It has been in operation for 19 years and is run by medical, nursing, and public health students at SUNY Downstate. We are funded by state and national grants, fundraising, and private donations. We provide cancer screenings, housing referrals, HIV/STI testing, diabetes counseling, PrEP enrollment, free vegetable bags, referrals for substance use issues, and much more. In 2025 alone, the clinic served 297 patients, filling a critical primary care gap in central Brooklyn.
