BRIC JazzFEST, returning for its 12th year, is a soul stirring experience for jazz and music lovers. The BRIC JazzFEST is a two-night festival, with three stages of concurrent performances throughout BRIC House.
Saturday’s lineup will take festival goers on a musical journey. Melvis Santana presents Gata Jazz, an Afro-Cuban project, Thailand born, Salin, who calls her sound “Afro Thai Funk”; Tyreek McDole’s baritone vocals floats effortlessly over modern jazz grooves; Braxton Cook’s mix of jazz vibes and contemporary R&B and Mohini Dey’s fusion of jazz, rhythmic traditions of India and rock and roll. All these sounds weave a tapestry of music that touches the soul. Toribio & Bring Dat Jazz Orchestra, will close the festival with an after-hours, non-stop dance celebration, evoking the feel of community found in New York summer block parties.
