The Bitter End Presents...
About
Hailing from Gravesend, Brooklyn, GreenLady is a distinct voice in the New York City folk music scene. Drawing from the early ’70s British folk revival and blending in alt-country, psychedelia, and classic rock, their sound is rich in mood and atmosphere.
At the core is husband-and-wife duo Joseph Milazzo (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Sylvia Herrera (vocals), whose vocal interplay anchors the storytelling. They’re joined by scene veteran John LaMacchia (Julie Christmas, Candiria, LaMacchia), whose textured guitar work deepens the band’s arrangements.
Formed in 2021, GreenLady has spent the past four years shaping their sound on local stages. The band’s brand-new self-titled debut album, GreenLady, is a 10-song collection of dark folk tales, murder ballads, and songs steeped in esoteric mystique.
Lead singles “Bella in the Wych Elm” and “Pinelands” showcase the band’s signature blend of storytelling and folkloric imagery.
With their debut album now freshly released and gaining momentum, GreenLady is poised to make a lasting mark on the indie-folk landscape
