He is the son of Jimmie Vaughan, founder and guitarist for the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and the nephew of legendary blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Tyrone Vaughan carries on the proud Texas tradition of playing the Blues from Austin, Tx.
Tyrone Vaughan is a Texas blues-rock guitarist and songwriter whose current work seamlessly blends authentic blues heritage with contemporary Americana and roots-rock. He not only carries on a legendary musical legacy but also carves out his own unique sound. His impressive credentials include Grammy-recognized songwriting, induction into the Texas Blues Hall of Fame, and collaborations with artists like Billy Gibbons, Derek Trucks, and Eric Gales.
