Music, Stories & the Glamour of Old New York

Experience an extraordinary evening where great music, captivating stories, and the glamour of old New York come alive.

The program features masterpieces by Chopin, Paderewski, Moniuszko, Karłowicz, Liszt, Schubert, Gounod, and Handel, performed by outstanding artists. Step into the world of New York a century ago, a city of grand stages, glamorous evenings, and legendary musical stars. Among them was Ignacy Jan Paderewski, the celebrated pianist and composer whose fame was compared to the cultural phenomenon of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. His virtuosity and charisma captivated American audiences, making him one of the most celebrated musical stars of his era and leaving a lasting mark on New Yorks cultural life. A special documentary takes audiences on a journey through New York City in Paderewskis footsteps, revisiting places connected to his life and career and revealing how they look today.
