Get ready for a holiday night with a whole lot more swing! Celebrating 17 years of spreading holiday cheer across the U.S. and Canada, Matt Wilson’s Christmas Tree-O brings its infectious energy and acclaimed jazz sound to Tilles Center. Widely regarded as one of jazz’s great working ensembles, the group has turned its playful take on the season into a tradition of its own, with two acclaimed Palmetto releases, Christmas Tree-O (2010) and Tree Jazz: The Shape of Christmas to Come (2024).
Presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, the evening transforms the Tilles Center Atrium into an intimate lounge, putting you up close to the music and the artists. And if you need another reason to join the fun, New York Sun critic Will Friedwald called the group “the most joyful holiday celebration I can remember attending,” while The New York Times’ Nate Chinen praised the “wonder and innocence, gaudiness and cheer” of Wilson’s holiday performances.
Skip the same old holiday routine. Grab your seats and add a little jazz to your season!
