Rosenwinkel's improvising style was initially influenced by guitarists such as Pat Metheny and John Scofield, but has emerged as an individual stylist whose lines are lengthy and linear, akin to the approach of musicians such as John Coltrane, Keith Jarrett and Allan Holdsworth. His chordal language is amongst the more advanced for a guitarist, touching on ideas from George Van Eps and Ben Monder.He attended the Berklee School of Music for two and a half years before leaving in his junior year to tour with Gary Burton, the dean of the school at the time. Subsequently, he moved to Brooklyn where he continued to develop as one of the leading jazz guitarists of his generation by performing with the Human Feel, Paul Motian's Electric Bebop Band, Joe Henderson Group, and the Brian Blade Fellowship.In 1995 he won the Composer's Award from the National Endowment for the Arts and was eventually signed by Verve Records. Since then he has played and recorded as both a leader and sideman with fellow-alumni such as Mark Turner and Brad Mehldau as well as many others. His latest studio album, Deep Song (2005), features Mehldau and Joshua Redman. Some of his earlier albums include The Enemies of Energy, The Next Step and a more experimental Heartcore.Originally from Philadelphia, Kurt Rosenwinkel currently resides in Berlin. Aidan McKeon began his playing career at a young age in the Philadelphia area, studying at the historical Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz, before beginning studies at the Juilliard School in Manhattan. He brings collaboration, professionalism, energy, and an amazing sound to his performances. In the Philly music scene, Aidan played as a sideman and a leader for many years before landing in NY, playing in bands led by Kurt Rosenwinkel, and with Alex Claffy, Anwar Marshall, Joe Farnsworth, Larry McKenna, Nazir Ebo, Richard Hill Jr., Joe Block, at venues such as the Village Vanguard, Dizzy's Club, and Chris' Jazz Cafe and has also had many gigs as a leader with quartets, big bands, and other ensembles with original music. Along with performing, Aidan has composed and arranged many pieces for various ensemble types, most recently being commissioned to write for the Philadelphia Ambassadors Big Band led by Joe Block and with Kurt Rosenwinkel, along with previously writing extensive works for big band. He also has written and performed new works for dance, small jazz ensembles, and piano. Aidan's music is largely inspired by masters such as Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, and Sun Ra, modern greats such as Chris Potter, Immanuel Wilkins, Bobby Zankel, the many geniuses of European classical music, and many other American artists. At age 30, bassist Alex Claffy has become one of the most in-demand performers of his generation, both as a sideman working with the biggest names in Jazz and Popular music, and also as a bandleader, composer and producer having just released his fourth album as a leader “Music From Big Orange” in late 2022 with another record on the way ft. Michael “Sonny Step” Stephenson in early 2023. Living in New York City but born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Claffy is the next great Jazz artist in his hometown’s storied lineage, following in the footsteps of Philadelphia bass luminaries such as Christian McBride, Percy Heath and Jimmy Garrison. His resumé as a sideman reads as a veritable who’s who of Jazz royalty, ranging from Jazz masters such as George Coleman, Harold Mabern, Randy Brecker, Wallace Roney and Louis Hayes, to the top stars of today such as Nicholas Payton, Christian Adjtunde Adjuah, Seamus Blake and Kurt Rosenwinkel - the latter of which he just debuted with at the legendary Village Vanguard in Summer of 2022. His work in more Pop settings with the likes of trumpet icon Chris Botti, the genre-bending songstress Veronica Swift and breakout Hamilton star vocalist Leslie Odom Jr. prove his versatility as a bassist and musician know no bounds. When he’s not touring the world headlining major Jazz festivals and clubs, Claffy can be found in any of the top venues in New York City’s decorated Jazz scene such as Birdland, the Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club, SMOKE and Smalls, as well as frequent trips back to Philadelphia, where he is committed to enriching and enlivening his hometown scene as well. In his spare time he’s an avid vinyl collector, has a voracious appetite for podcasts and the greats of stand-up comedy, as well as his dedication to his work as a clinician and teacher, hosting a private studio of bass students as well as adjunct work at his alma mater, the New School of Jazz. Ofri Nehemya was born on January 10th, 1994 in Givatayim, Israel, to a musical family; his father is a drummer and his mother is a singer. Since a very young age, when music was all around, Ofri was exposed to all different kinds of music including Rock, Pop, Fusion and more. Around the age of 3, he picked up the drumsticks for the first time, playing simple grooves only a few months later. From the age of 8 Ofri was taught by his father for the next 4 years, playing mostly fusion music. In the age of 12, Ofri started taking piano lessons Classical and jazz, that gave him the basics of harmony and composition. 3 years later, at the age of 15, Ofri started his studies at Thelma-Yellin High school's Jazz department. From that point he was mostly playing jazz music. In high school Ofri started studying arrangment, musicianship and jazz history. At the same time, he was playing in the department's jazz combos and in the high school's big-band. In the age of 17 Ofri met the worldwide known Israeli saxophone player Eli Degibri for the first time, and after a while started to play in his quartet, also sharing the stage with worldwide known jazz musicians as Aaron Goldberg and Reuben Rogers. One year before high school graduation, Ofri got a full scholarship to Berklee's workshop summer program. While taking the short course, he won a Full Ride scholarship for 4 years Studies. At the age of 19, Ofri started playing with the well known Israeli bass player Avishai Cohen, touring with him allover the world. Ofri plays on the album 'Almah' - the official record of the Avishai Cohen with strings project. At the year of 2015, Ofri started working with Israeli bassist and composer Omer Avital, and have been touring, performing and recording with him since then. Ofri recently joined Shai Maestro Trio, recording with him "The Dream Thief" - An album for the prestigious ECM Records. Currently Ofri lives in New York City, and keeps collaborating with some of the leading musicians on the Jazz music scene.
