Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library at Grand Army Plaza is a landmark Art Deco civic hub known for BPL Presents author talks, concerts, film screenings, and community programs centered in the 189-seat Dweck Auditorium. Opened on February 1, 1941, it serves as Brooklyn’s home library and a major cultural institution at the edge of Prospect Park.
