The Slipper Room is a landmark Lower East Side burlesque and variety theater that opened in 1999 and was later rebuilt as a two?level venue; the intimate room seats about 200 across the main floor and balcony. Known for neo?vaudeville, circus, comedy, and late?night burlesque, it has helped define downtown nightlife and sits amid a dense strip of LES bars and restaurants near Orchard and Stanton Streets.
