This artist does not have a bio yet. Charlie Porter is a GRAMMY Award–winning jazz trumpeter and composer who has been active on the international jazz scene for over two decades. He has released six albums as a leader, including Immigration Nation, which was named one of the Best Albums of the Year by DownBeat. As a performer and bandleader, Porter has appeared at major jazz festivals worldwide and at leading New York venues including The Blue Note, Smalls, Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, and The Jazz Gallery, among many others. Of Lebanese, Greek, Italian, and British ancestry, Porter brings a naturally cross-cultural perspective to his work, shaping projects that merge musical traditions, interdisciplinary collaboration, and narrative design in ways that continually push the boundaries of jazz. He has collaborated and performed with a wide range of artists across generations of the music, including Joe Zawinul, Orrin Evans, Chuck Israels, Kenny Washington, Paquito D’Rivera, Winard Harper, and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars, among many others. His work emphasizes long-form composition, ensemble interplay, and concept-driven projects that often expand the possibilities of traditional jazz presentation — from live collaborations with visual artists to immersive, narrative-driven releases. DownBeat has described his playing as “fluid, expressive, and magnificent.” In addition to his work as a recording artist, he continues to develop new projects that explore the evolving language of modern jazz. Charlie’s current work includes the upcoming release of his seventh album as a leader, Sci-Fi Standards, Vol. 1: The Future We Knew, due this summer. The project reimagines music from classic science-fiction cinema through an original jazz lens, blending composition, improvisation, and ensemble interplay. Following boundary-expanding releases such as Cipher and his Sketches project — which featured live collaboration with visual artists — the album continues Porter’s ongoing exploration of new creative frameworks. Its release will coincide with tours throughout the East Coast, West Coast, and Asia. As a composer, Porter has been commissioned by the Doris Duke Foundation and Chamber Music America. He is currently Professor of Trumpet at New York University. Hailing from Hartford, CT, Tony Davis is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, vocalist, composer, and producer based in New York City. Tony has performed extensively at prestigious venues such as The Blue Note, The Village Vanguard, Smalls, Mezzrow, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Birdland. He has showcased his talents at major festivals, including the Newport Jazz Festival and the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival, and was celebrated as a rising star guitarist at the 2016 Wes Montgomery Tribute Festival in Indianapolis, IN. Tony’s musical journey extends internationally, having recently led his own group with notable performances throughout Mexico and Chile. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Anderson Paak, Christian McBride, Sullivan Fortner, Abraham Burton, George Coleman, Joe Farnsworth, and Larry Willis. Tony’s innovative approach to music seamlessly blends elements of singer-songwriter, Latin, rock and classical music with jazz, contributing a unique and compelling voice to contemporary music. In 2020, he signed with the acclaimed record label Posi-Tone and released his debut album, “Golden Year.” This album features an all-star lineup including Dezron Douglas, Eric McPherson, Steve Davis, Alina Engibaryan, Steve Wilson, and David Bryant. His unique style and musical prowess quickly garnered attention, cementing his place as a significant contemporary artist. In 2022, Davis furthered his career by signing with La Reserve Records, one of the leading labels in modern music. This partnership led to the release of a duet album with Brazilian vocalist Jamile Ayres, titled “Daring Two Be.” He is set to release his next full-length album, “Cloud Nova” on October 11th, 2024, also under La Reserve Records. His ongoing contributions to the music scene reflect his dynamic artistry and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz and beyond. This artist does not have a bio yet. Bassist, Composer, and Educator, Alex Tremblay has been on the music scene in New York City for nearly 10 years. Originally hailing from North Providence, Rhode Island, Alex began performing and composing music at a young age and would go on to the esteemed Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at the University of Hartford to further his studies and receive his Bachelor’s of Music. With wide-ranging influences spanning from the likes of Ray Brown and Ron Carter, to James Jamerson and Jaco Pastorious, Alex has been able to formulate a sound and style that has found him working consistently throughout his career and which has allowed him to be found on the bandstand with a wide variety of artists. With composing, he draws influences from his love of different styles of music and explores the possibilities that each style offers. He has written and arranged music for many of the ensembles he works with as well as taking commissions to write works for film and dance. His debut record Thoughts and Images features some of NYC's brightest young talents and has been featured on various radio stations across the United States and the world. As a young player, he gained a lot of experience performing with jazz greats in the European scene. Working with, amongst others, Harry Sokal, Matthieu Michel, Johannes Enders, Alegre Correa and S.K. Invitational brought him on tour in over 20 nations – and in 2010 he was awarded the Hans-Koller-Prize as “Sideman of the Year 2009“. He too was granted the "Annual Scholarship for Music 2010" by the city of Salzburg as well as a studying grant from the Austrian Ministry of Arts & Culture. Also in 2010 he released his first record as a bandleader, "Gloaming", with his own New York based group "Wayfarers". The band has toured Europe twice with great success.
